What a well written article! It should make us all reflect on life and what is truly important. Hopefully we all have enough of the good things life has to offer to make our "glass of life" at least half full. It is particularly during those difficult times that we all go through when we have to focus on all the "good stuff." As you mentioned, not only on Thanksgiving day but all year round we need to truly be grateful for what we all hopefully have to create inner happiness and satisfaction. And if we don't have all our important needs satisfied we should be working to attain them while we are thankful for what we do have, including the love and support of the people we care about. And if we need emotional help and direction in this regard we can all look toward Ankerline!!
Loved the thinking and the words that should make us all take pause tomorrow and the days to follow. Happy Thanksgiving!

You have really given us a lot of "food" for thought on this upcoming holiday. Sometimes it is hard to keep the focus on the positive and feel grateful each day. Thanksgiving makes us realize how fortunate we are--for this day and all the others we are given. You help us to realize our blessings too!!

I love this post ! I agree with you. If we would all shop less and help more, the world would be a happier, warmer place to be. We have to stop and take opportunities to help those who are less fortunate and to "give" instead of "take". It does feel good and the satisfaction lasts longer than in any physical thing you can buy in a store. Really think about making a difference in your day. What can WE do ? How can WE help our society ? Individuals who need us ? Just a thought.....

The quickest way to get out of a funk is to take positive action. Even small steps forward will do it - take a walk around the block, prepare a healthy snack, read a book. If you practice self care and generate positive energy for yourself, the clouds will slowly part and the sun will come out.
